Training

From the moment you are welcomed to the Olympia team you begin extensive training. Olympia gives every crew member the tools they need to become a professional mover. Training is never complete and always paid. Senior and experienced crew members will act as mentors and will help you develop the skills you need to be promoted or earn your commercial driving license. Training includes:

• Classroom training and demonstrations
• Hands on practice packing, prepping furniture, and moving in the Olympia Training House
• Learn basic move materials: boxes, equipment, wrapping, shrink wrap, loading, unloading, and the use of containers and vaults
• App-based virtual training modules
• CDL license training programs

During your first few days of work you will be on site training, watching a series of videos that review many aspects of the position that you will be working at. We also will provide live in person training. Each new employee receives a minimum of three days of onboarding and training before being put on a crew. These various methods of training will allow all new hires knowledge of the role and their responsibility.

We have several members of the team that started on the trucks and have moved into corporate and management roles. Our CEO and President both started working on the trucks as movers. We provide you with the training and opportunities to build your career at Olympia, this is not just a job. The possibilities are endless here.
