Operations
Our operations team is responsible for ensuring that daily relocation projects are fulfilled to the satisfaction of our customers and the Olympia Moving & Storage standards of excellence. This team manages the daily logistic operations of moving crews and directing deliveries and pick-ups in accordance with our customer’s needs. This includes organizing, directing, and tracking the progress of work throughout the day. For this team you need excellent communication skills and knowledge of material control and vehicle maintenance safety. On a daily basis you can expect to:
- Assure drivers and crew start route and reach destination on time
- Review work orders to ensure jobs are properly staffed and equipped
- Communicate with sales, customer service, warehousing, and clients
- Keep in contact with crew
- Train and evaluate new movers and drivers
- Maintain inventory of local equipment
- Maintain records in operations system
- Support warehouse and interstate operations
- Plan upcoming days labor distribution
